With the Cool Tabs path stories system, you can create a quiz in which you ask questions that are conditioned on user responses. This allows you to create a sudden death quiz, in which only users who answer correctly continue the quiz. If the participants fail, they lose and have the possibility of returning to the start point, to join the quiz again.
This feature is only available in the Diamond plan. To activate it, you will have to contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) to get a quote.
2. Step by step.
2.1. Create your campaign.
Access to your Cool Tabs account and create your campaign with the Cool Promo White Label application.
Remember that, to enable 'Paths', firstly, you must set your quiz questions in the 'Quiz' section and save the campaign.
2.2. Set the quiz questions and answers.
In the 'Quiz' section, check the 'Then, complete your quiz questions and answers.
In the last question of your quiz, you have to assign one point to the correct answer. You need to assign points so that the participant who passes the quiz is shown a different final screen from the one seen by users who fail. In the next section, we are going to explain to you how to configure those final screens.
2.3. Set the final screen.
In the 'Final Screen' section, you must configure the screen that will be shown, by default, to all participants who don't answer correctly.
This screen will also be displayed in case you activate the time limit to answer and the user doesn't resolve within that time.
If you only want to include an image in the final screen, in the 'Content' tab of the 'Final Screen' section, check the box 'Show an image in the final screen' and upload your image.
If you want to show a text, enable the option 'Show a text on the final screen'. When you check the checkbox, an editor will open in which you can include text, images, GIFs, or HTML. The editor also supports images, so, if you wish, you can have two images, here and in the specific field for uploading an image.
If you want to give them a chance to try the quiz again, in the 'Advanced' tab, check the 'Display a button to join the campaign again' option.
You also have to configure the personalized screen that will be shown to the participants who complete the quiz. To do this, enable the option '' and click on 'Individual final screen management'.
You have to add a new screen. Give it a name to identify it and complete the design with the image, gif or text you want to show the participant. Establish a minimum score of one. One is the number of points that participants should get, at least, to see this screen.
2.4. Set the paths.
Once you have the quiz ready, go to the 'Paths' section of your campaign edition, activate it, and click on 'Paths management'.
You will see the screen divided in two. On the left, you have the 'Paths edition', in which you will have to configure the crossroads. And, on the right, you will find a diagram that you are creating and that is very useful to visualize the quiz.
This is a sudden death quiz, so when the answer is correct, participants will automatically move on to the next question. If they fail, they will be redirected to the final 'Failed' screen that you have configured by default.
In the following image, you can see an example. In this case, we have a text answer. If the participant writes the answer correctly, it goes to the next question. If the answer is incorrect, the final screen of Failure is displayed.
