1. Introduction.

Zapier is a software that makes it possible to automate actions, based on workflows (called Zaps), between third-party web applications.

The Cool Tabs integration with Zapier allows you to connect Cool Tabs with the applications and tools integrated into Zapier that you use in your day-to-day, to automate your work.

When an event occurs in your campaign, such as capturing a lead, Cool Tabs will collect that data, create a notification and send it to Zapier. This way, you can send, in real time, the data obtained in your Cool Tabs campaigns to the tools you use. For example, when a new participant registers in your contest, it will generate a new subscription in your Mailchimp account or record participant data in Google Sheets.

Zapier has integration with more than 5,000 apps. Check out their app directory to see all the applications you can automate with.

Before explaining how to integrate your campaign with Zapier, keep the following in mind:

• It is only available with the Cool Tabs Diamond plan.

• You must be registered in Zapier.

2. Step by step.

Creating a Zap is an easy and intuitive process that you can do yourself, without any programming knowledge.

In addition, at Cool Tabs we have pre-configured integrations with some of the most popular applications among our users. You can start from these ready-to-use templates and finish configuring the selected Zap by following the step-by-step instructions displayed in Zapier.

2.1. How to create a new integration.

1) Go to the CRM Export section of your campaign editor, enable the option Export participant data to Zapier and then click Save campaign and go to zapier.com to finish integration.

2) Log in to your Zapier account or sign up if you haven't already. Remember that you must be a Zapier user to complete the integration.

3) Create a new Zap by clicking the 'Create Zap' button.

4) The Zapier editor will open. You can use the Copilot assistant to describe your workflow in plain language, or configure it manually by clicking the Trigger block and searching for Cool Tabs in the app search.

5) Select the event (trigger) that will activate the Zap — a new participant registering in your Cool Tabs campaign. Select 'New Participant's Entry' and click 'Continue'.

6) In the Account section, click Select to log in to your Cool Tabs account and authorize the connection with Zapier.

7) A window will open requesting the Cool Tabs Zapier API key. Enter it and click Connect.

You can find your key at Settings > Zapier (API key) or directly at https://www.cool-tabs.com/my/zapier_zaps.

8) Click 'Continue' to proceed and configure the trigger event.

9) Select the Cool Tabs campaign from which you want data to be imported. Search for your campaign and continue.

10) Test the trigger event. Click 'Test trigger'. Zapier will attempt to find a recent item from your trigger app to use in the Zap. If you don't find a field you created in your Cool Tabs campaign form, click 'Load more'. When done, click 'Continue' to proceed.

11) Select the action you want Zapier to perform when a new participant is registered in your campaign. Search for the app in the search box.

In this example we are creating an integration with Google Sheets, so that each new campaign entry creates a new row in a Google spreadsheet.

12) Click 'Continue' to connect to your Google account and authorize Zapier to access it.

13) Select the Google Drive where the target spreadsheet is located. You will also need to specify the spreadsheet, the worksheet, and the fields you want to send.

14) Run the test to verify the trigger is configured correctly. The test data will be sent to the Google spreadsheet you specified.

15) Finally, click 'Publish Zap'. The Zap will activate and start automating your workflow. Verify that the Zap is active with the green toggle set to 'On'.

Go back to Cool Tabs and check the CRM Export section of your campaign editor, you will see the Zap you created is now active.
