For the 2026 World Cup, Cool Tabs has created a preconfigured World Cup Pool template so you can launch a sports prediction campaign among your users quickly and easily.
This template is designed for the 2026 World Cup and works as a classic 1X2 pool, where participants must select the outcome of each match: 1 (home team wins), X (draw), or 2 (away team wins).
With the 2026 World Cup template, you can:
Challenge users to make predictions for the matches
Award points for each correct prediction
Display a public ranking of participants based on their score
Hold a draw, either among all participants or only the correct predictors
Generate leads and engagement among 2026 FIFA World Cup fans
When you select the World Cup Pool template, an editable copy will be automatically generated, with a customized design and CSS that we have preconfigured to make your work easier.
In this tutorial, you will find step-by-step instructions on how to edit and customize your template to fully adapt it to your brand, goals, and the experience you want to offer your users.
The template includes the 2026 World Cup group stage matches. If you need to add matches from later stages (Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, or Final), you can do so manually from the campaign settings or contact our team at help@cool-tabs.com so we can upload them automatically for you.
1. Step by step.
1.1. Select the template.
-
Log in to your Cool Tabs account and, from the campaign menu, click “My templates”.
In the Public templates tab, search for World Cup Pool 2026 - 1x2.
Click Use template to generate an editable copy in your campaign list.
Before starting the configuration, you can access the template preview to get familiar with its structure and functionality.
1.2. User registration.
By default, the template is configured with social login options, including Facebook, Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail.
To participate, users must register using one of these accounts. This allows participants to be properly identified.
If your goal is not to capture leads or you do not plan to use participant emails later (for example, to contact the winner of a draw), you can disable the registration form.
1.3. Basic information.
1.3.1. Settings.
In this section, you should review where you want users to be redirected when they click on the Pool URL.
Cool Tabs microsite (default option).
External page (for example, your website).
1.3.2. Languages.
The template supports multiple languages and is available by default in Spanish and English.
You can add or remove languages.
Please note that the multilingual feature is only available for users on the Diamond plan.
If you add a new language, save the changes and then edit the campaign again to customize the texts for that language.
For more configuration information, see the tutorial: How to configure a campaign in multiple languages.
1.4. Design.
The World Cup Pool 2026 template already includes its own customized CSS.
Unless you have advanced technical knowledge, we recommend not modifying the code found in Design > Advanced tab, to avoid errors or unwanted visual changes.
If you want to adjust the landing appearance or improve the visual experience, you can easily do so from the Design sections of the campaign, without touching any code:
Title and description
Colors and typography
Images and videos
Buttons and form styles
Logos and footer
If you make changes to the template and need our team to apply additional adjustments, you can request them by emailing help@cool-tabs.com.
1.5. Dates.
Two types of dates are configured in the template:
Pool visibility dates: the period during which the campaign is visible to users.
Participation dates: until when users can submit predictions per match. By default, it is set until the 2026 World Cup final: July 19. This can be modified in the Participation section.
Remember to set the correct time zone based on your target audience.
1.6. Participations.
In this section, you can configure how users will participate in the pool.
Limit participations: You can allow one participation per user or enable multiple participations.
Participation frequency: Set whether users can participate once per day or only once during the entire campaign.
For prediction pools, we recommend allowing one participation per registered user.
Aquí tienes la traducción al inglés neutro, lista para mantener en tu tutorial:
1.6.1. Participants List Page.
The template includes a public list of participants, which allows you to display the ranking of users based on the points earned in the World Cup 2026 Pool.
As matches are played and results are known, you can assign points to the correct answers from the campaign settings.
Points are automatically awarded to users with correct predictions, updating the ranking in real time.
Related tutorial: How to display a public list or ranking of participants.
1.6.2. Restrictions.
By default, the pool is configured so that users can participate once per round, with no additional phases:
If a user has already participated and accesses the pool again, clicking Participate will edit the previous entry instead of creating a new one.
Matches that have already been played and closed by date will not appear, while matches that have not yet been played can still be answered or modified.
If you prefer to configure the pool with phases or stages (for example, 24 or 48 hours), you can refer to the tutorial: How to create a campaign with phases or stages.
1.7. Final screen.
After submitting their predictions, users will see the final screen.
On this screen, you can:
Display a thank-you message.
Include a custom image or video.
Add links to your website or social media.
1.8. Entry Form.
If you have enabled the registration form, you can customize it in this section.
You can:
Add or remove fields.
Mark fields as required or optional.
Customize field labels and texts.
1.9. Quiz.
The Quiz section allows you to configure the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, as well as how users will submit their predictions.
Included matches:
The template includes all matches from the group stage.
Each match is set up as a quiz question, displaying the date and time of the match.
Quiz type and scoring:
The template is configured as a points-based quiz, so that after each match you can access the campaign editor and assign 1 point for the correct answer.
The system automatically recalculates participants’ correct answers and updates their ranking score in real time.
Answer options:
Each match offers three options: Win A, Draw, Win B (1X2), just like in a classic betting pool.
Each option has a points field, initially set to 0. Once results are confirmed, you can assign 0 points for an incorrect answer and 1 point for a correct answer.
Visibility restriction to prevent cheating:
To ensure the integrity of the pool, each match is configured to be visible only during a specific period, until the kick-off time of the match.
This option is located in the “Advanced” tab of each question, marked as “Visible only during a specific date”, allowing you to control when users can submit their predictions.
1.10. Legal conditions.
In this section, you can add the legal terms and conditions of the campaign.
It is important to clearly specify:
Eligibility requirements.
