2.2. Configure the predictions.
1. Introduction.
Cool Tabs lets you set up a betting pool in which participants make their predictions about the result of a match.
This type of mechanic can be configured as a quiz, showing the participant different answer options to choose from. For example: what will the result of the Barcelona – Real Madrid match be? With the answer options: 1 (BAR wins) / X (tie) / 2 (RMA wins).
However, among the answer options offered by Cool Tabs, you'll find the "sports game forecast" answer type, which lets you set up a prediction game in a simpler, more dynamic, and visually appealing way. With this answer type, the participant only has to write their prediction, filling in the answer numerically or with text, depending on the configuration you choose.
2. Step by step.
2.1. Create the campaign.
First, you need to create your campaign and configure its basic settings. Is this your first time creating a campaign with Cool Tabs? 2.2. Configure the predictions.
Go to the "Quiz" section of the campaign editor to start configuring the different questions or predictions.
You must check the option "Quiz with points for correct answers". This lets you set the correct result for each question once the campaign ends, so points are assigned to the participants who guessed correctly.
2.2.1. Add the questions.
Since this is a sporting event, each question will correspond to a match. You'll need to add as many questions as there are predictions for participants to answer.
2.2.2. Add the answers.
In the "Answers" tab of each question, configure the answer options. Choose the "Sports game forecast" option.
Since points will be awarded for guessing correctly, you must set the points to award for each correct prediction.
By default, the "force numerical answer" option is checked, so the participant will only be able to answer using numbers. If you want participants to be able to give a text answer, uncheck this option. You can also limit the answer so the user cannot type more than one character.
Add the answer options.
Once the event is over, you can set the correct result so that points are assigned to the participants.
In the "Design" tab, you can add an image. By default, any image you upload is scaled to 300px.

2.3. Other settings.
2.3.1. Display questions on certain dates.
If your campaign has different stages, or you only want to display certain questions during a specific period, activate the "This question will only be displayed on certain dates" field, found in the "Settings" tab of each quiz question.
This is useful, for example, when setting up predictions for a World Cup, which can last for weeks, with several matches played on each matchday. This ensures that once a match has started, participants can no longer change their prediction.
2.3.2. Ranking of participants.
In gamification campaigns where players score points, it's common to display a public list of participants, so everyone can see how they ranked.
If you want to show the ranking of players along with the points they've obtained, activate the participant list.

3. Other specifications.
Remember that once the event is over, you'll need to edit the quiz to indicate the correct answers so points are assigned to participants.
