1. Introduction
Cool Tabs lets you select winners and alternates from your sweepstakes and campaigns — manually or randomly — and apply filters to validate that participants meet your entry conditions. Once the draw is complete, a public winners page is automatically generated with a Certificate of Validity that proves the process was carried out transparently.
2. Step by step
Before you start, make sure you have a campaign or sweepstake created in your Cool Tabs account with entries already collected.
2.1. How to
select winners
1. From the campaign list, click Leads on the relevant campaign.
2. In the left sidebar, select Winners.
You'll see two selection methods: manual and random. If your campaign includes voting, a third option will appear: Random draw among voters.
2.1.1. Manual selection
Only available for Cool Promo and Cool Promo White Label campaigns (Gold and Diamond plans). Ideal for creativity-based draws or those requiring a notary's presence.
Enter the email addresses of the winners and alternates, add a title for the winners page, and click Save winners.
2.1.2. Random selection
Run a random draw among all participants, with the option to apply filters (dates, points, referrals, etc.).
No filters: complete filters by date and leave the other fields empty to include every participant.
With filters: set the criteria participants must meet (see section 2.2).
After setting the filters:
1. Click Step 1: Filter to generate the list of eligible participants.
2. Enter the number of winners and alternates, then click Step 2: Launch sweepstake.
Once the draw is complete, you'll get the winners page with the Certificate of Validity, and the option to generate a winners video to share the result. Both are covered in the sections below.
2.2. How to filter by conditions
Available filters vary depending on the campaign type. Leave any you don't need empty.
Participation dates
Set a start and end date to define which entries are counted.
Top participants
Limit the draw to participants with the highest points, most referrals, or fastest responses.
Specific conditions
Quiz result category: for personality quizzes or category-based tests, enter the category (A, B, C, D…) to draw from. You can repeat the selection for other categories.
Min/max points: filter by score obtained.
Number of referrals: set how many referrals participants must have made.
Add users by email: manually include specific email addresses (all other conditions still apply).
Social network
Filter by the social network participants used to register.
Other filters
Exclude winners from previous campaigns.
Exclude participants whose IP matches that of a previous winner.
Exclude users on your email or NIF blacklist.
Exclude participants whose IP is on your IP blacklist.
2.3. Random selection among voters
Only available for Cool Promo and Cool Promo White Label campaigns (Gold and Diamond plans). Use this for contests where users voted, such as photo, video, or text competitions.
Enter the number of winners and alternates and click Launch sweepstake.
2.4. Remove a winner from the list
Available from the Gold plan. Click the (x) next to the winner's name to remove them. They'll be automatically replaced by another participant or, if alternates were set, by the first alternate. The same applies to alternates.
2.5. Repeat the selection
Click the red button Delete winners and repeat selection to restart the draw from scratch.
2.6. Winners page and Certificate of Validity
Once the draw is complete, a public URL is generated with the results. Share it to announce the winners. Make sure the page is set to public mode, otherwise it won't be visible.
You can customize the page with a title and visuals from Design > Content in your campaign settings.
The page includes a certificate code button. Clicking it opens the Certificate of Validity, which confirms the draw was run on Cool Tabs' servers according to the campaign settings and contest terms. It lists all winners, alternates, and the date and time of the draw.
2.7. Winners video
Generate and download a video of the draw results in multiple formats — ideal for sharing on social media, both in feed and Stories. You can also publish it via URL.

2.8. How to contact the winners
After the draw, you'll need to notify the winners so they can claim their prize.
