At Cool Tabs, we have added a new option in the "Entry Form" section of campaign editing, allowing you to display certain personal fields as disabled when information is sourced from the login provider. This feature is designed to streamline personal data management and prevent participants from altering these fields, thereby improving data consistency across your campaigns.
How it works
Previously, this section included the option to "Hide from participation form personal data if we can read that from the social network". When this checkbox was selected, the data provided by the login provider (Facebook, Twitter, Google, company SSO, etc.) would automatically populate and be hidden in the form. If any specific data was not provided by the login source, the field would still appear for the user to complete.
New Option: Show disabled the personal data that we can read from the login provider
To enhance the participant experience and allow them to view the information provided by the login provider, we’ve added a new checkbox labeled “Show disabled the personal data that we can read from the login provider”.
When you activate this option:
- Personal fields obtained from the login provider will appear in the form as disabled, preventing the user from editing them.
- If the login provider does not supply certain data, the corresponding field will remain editable so that the participant can complete it manually.
Which fields will be displayed as disabled
This functionality applies to the following personal fields, as long as the login provider supplies the data:
- First and last name
- Email and phone
- NIF type and NIF number
- Membership number
How to enable this option
To enable this feature in your participation form, follow these steps:
- Go to Campaign Editing > Entry Form section.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab.
- Check the box "Show disabled the personal data that we can read from the login provider".
- Save your changes.
This update is designed to give you more control over how participants’ data is displayed, and we hope it contributes to an improved user experience in your campaigns.
