We have introduced a new feature that adds an extra layer of dynamism to your code validation campaigns. Users can now scan barcodes or QR codes with their mobile phone camera to automatically complete the code field in the participation form.
This option complements the possibility of manually entering the code, offering greater flexibility for participants. This way, participation time is reduced, typing errors are avoided, and the experience becomes more modern, seamless, and engaging.
In addition, this enhancement opens the door to designing new dynamics in promotional campaigns, sweepstakes, or point-of-sale activations, bringing more value both to participants and to the brand.
How it works
When participants reach the campaign form, they will find the code validation field. If you have enabled camera scanning, they simply need to grant access to their device’s camera, point it at the barcode or QR code, and the system will automatically fill in the field with the detected information.
Compatibility
The scanning feature is currently available on:
Android devices using Chrome or Samsung Internet browsers.
Other browsers or devices: If you want the scanner to also work on iPhones and iPads, you can enable the alternative scanner option. On those devices, as well as on other unsupported browsers, this alternative scanner will be used. Participants will also be able to enter the code manually if they prefer.
Additional specifications
Configuration is managed from the Validation section in the campaign editor.
By default, the most common formats are enabled:
qr_code, ean_13, code_128, ean_8, code_39, code_93.To improve detection accuracy, we recommend enabling only the specific format you plan to use.
