You can now restrict the assignment of Instant Win prizes or post-participation thank you pages based on the code or coupon entered by the participant in the form.
This allows you to create more segmented campaign experiences, offering different rewards depending on the type of code each user submits. You can now set up campaigns with tiered prizes, where some rewards are reserved for users with special codes (e.g., those who spent more or accessed through exclusive channels).
How It Works
Just like you’ve been able to assign Instant Win prizes based on UTM parameters (depending on how the user landed on your campaign), you can now also do it based on the code entered in the form.
This opens up new possibilities for personalizing campaigns and tailoring them to each user's behavior. Let’s see an example.
Example Use Case
Imagine a code validation campaign where you want to assign:
Standard prizes, with no code restrictions, available to all participants.
Special prizes (e.g., 10 iPhones), only to users who enter premium codes (like those who made a higher purchase), using patterns such as CODIGO999%.
You could structure your code like this:
Generic or unrestricted codes: CODIGO0001, CODIGO0002, etc.
Premium codes: CODIGO9991, CODIGO9992, ..., CODIGO9999
Additionally, if the special codes aren't being used and the campaign is ending soon, you can remove the code restriction so any participant can win the remaining prizes.
Also Available for Thank You Pages
You can now personalize the thank you page or final screen a user sees after participating in your campaign based on the code or coupon they entered.
This allows you to show different messages, rewards, instructions, or promotions depending on the type of code submitted.
Example Use Cases
1. Distinguishing Between Standard and VIP Participants
Imagine you’ve distributed two types of coupons:
Standard codes: USER001, USER002, etc.
VIP codes: VIP001, VIP002, VIP003
You can create two different thank you pages:
Standard Page: A general message with no special perks.
VIP Page: A personalized message with exclusive benefits, such as an extra coupon or early access to a promotion.
2. Showing Instructions Based on Store of Purchase
Your campaign is linked to multiple retail stores, each providing a different code format:
Store A: A001, A002, etc.
- Store B: B001, B002, etc.
Each thank you page can include store-specific instructions, addresses, pickup times, or next steps for redeeming rewards.
Benefits of This Feature
Improves user experience by displaying more relevant messaging.
Enables segmented communication based on how the user participates.
Perfect for multi-tiered campaigns, in-store coupon redemptions, or loyalty levels.
Reduces errors in delivering rewards or instructions.
Where to Configure It
In the Instant Win editor, you’ll now see the option: “Assign based on code entered by the user.”
In the Thank You Page settings, you’ll find the checkbox “Assign page based on code”.
This new feature adds to the existing option to assign Instant Wins based on UTM parameters (for example, when a user arrives via a newsletter, blog post, etc.), giving you even more powerful segmentation options for your campaigns.
