Differences between Own Domain and Content Widget

1. Content Widget.

A widget is a kind of "box" that allows you to display information (text, image...) on a website, blog, or microsite. In Cool Tabs, it will allow you to display the landing, the form, or the entries list of your campaign.

You only need to copy and paste the HTML code we provide when you create your campaign, to insert it into your website, blog, or microsite.

The option to add a content widget is available in the Gold and Diamond plans.

When the campaign is shared on social networks or other media, the domain that will be referenced will still be the one offered by Cool Tabs (www.your-promos.com), whereas if you use your own domain, any reference to the campaign will be to the domain or subdomain you have chosen.

2. Own domain.

By default, when you create a campaign on Cool Tabs, it will be hosted on a custom domain that we provide (www.your-promos.com). You also have the possibility of showing it on your own domain.

Your own domain will allow you to host your campaign directly on a subdomain of your website (you can host one or several campaigns, as your own domain lets you get a site with all your campaigns). For example: http://promotions.mydomain.com.

This option allows you to have a personalized look & feel that follows the style of your website.

In addition, when sharing the campaign, the URL that will be shown will reflect your subdomain, instead of the Cool Tabs domain, which will continue to appear when sharing the campaign from the content widget.

This advanced option is available for Diamond campaigns and has an additional cost.
