1. Introduction.
When you set up your campaign with Cool Tabs, you can enable the option to moderate the participations.
The moderation allows the campaign administrator to review the participations and check that the participants meet the requirements to participate.
The user, after completing the registration form, will see a message informing him/her that his/her participation is pending review by the administrator.
This functionality is useful when, in addition to completing the personal data form, the user has to upload, for example, a purchase receipt photo. In this way, it is possible to prevent a participant, who does not upload a correct ticket or any other image, from winning.
It is also advisable to moderate content contests (photos, video, and texts), where the participation will be public, and it is important to check that the contents uploaded by users comply with the requirements and are not inappropriate.
2. Step by step.
2.1. How to set it up.
To enable moderation, go to the 'Advanced' tab of the 'Participation' section and enable the 'Enable moderation' option.
All entries will have to be accepted by you before they are public in the campaign.
Participants, when completing their participation, will see the following message.
2.1.1. Notification of new entries.
In addition, you can enable the option to be notified by email every time a new entry is posted, and you can review it.
When you activate the moderation option, a new box will be displayed to send an email with each new entry to be reviewed. Check it and enter the email or emails, separated by commas or spaces, to which you want the notification to be sent.
2.1.2. Moderation of entries.
If you have activated the email notification, you will only have to click on the link 'Moderate all participations', which we will send you to access the participations and start reviewing them.
You can also access the list of participants from the main page of your campaigns by clicking on the 'Leads' icon.
From the list of entries, you can review each participation and approve or reject it. You have two options to approve or reject:
1) From the 'Status' column.
Click on the tick symbol to approve it or on the X symbol to reject it.
2) Selecting each participation.
Mark the participation and then click on the button to approve or reject it.
Before approving or rejecting an entry, please note the following points.
- Rejected entries count towards the limit of entries per user.
- In campaigns where participation is limited to one per user, it means that those users will not be able to participate again.
- If you want to allow them to participate again, instead of rejecting them, you should delete them.
- The rejected participation will not be entered into the sweepstakes. If the public listing has been activated, it will not appear in the public listing.
- In moderated campaigns where you have configured the email validation of the participants after participating when a user validates his email, his participation does not automatically become public but remains pending moderation by the administrator.
