2.2. Configure the personality test.
1. Introduction.
With Cool Tabs, you can create a fully customized personality test to engage your audience, learn more about their tastes, and deliver a unique experience. Unlike a knowledge quiz, a personality test has no right or wrong answers; each participant gets a different result based on their own choices.
You can personalize the results screens so that each participant receives a message tailored to their profile, perfect for engagement campaigns, product recommendations, audience segmentation, or simply entertaining your community.
There are two ways to configure it: by categories or by points. We explain both below.
2. Step by step.
2.1. Create your campaign.
The first step is to create your campaign and configure the basic settings. If this is your first time using Cool Tabs, the following tutorial walks you through everything you need to get started:

2.2. Configure the personality test.
Before getting started, choose the mode that best fits your goal:
- By categories: the result is determined by the category with the highest number of selected answers. This is the most common option.
- By points: the result depends on the total score accumulated across all answers. Best for more granular outcomes.
2.2.1. Personality test by categories.
This is the most widely used option. The participant receives a results screen based on the category with the highest number of selected answers (categories A, B, C, D…). For example, if most of their answers belong to category B, they will see the results screen associated with that category.
1) Configure the questions and answers
Go to the 'Quiz' section of the campaign editor and check the option 'I want to create a personality quiz'.
Add your questions: type the question in the corresponding field and, if needed, add a supporting description.
In the 'Answers' tab, select 'Single answer multiple choice'. Write each answer option and assign it to a category (A, B, C…) in the 'Type of answer' field. The category determines which results screen the participant will see.
2) Configure the final screens
Go to the 'Final screen' section of the campaign editor and enable the option 'Display a customized final screen depending on gamifications, quiz results (point or personality tests) or validated coupon'. Then click on 'Individual final screens management'.
Add one final screen per category defined in your answers.
For each screen, give it an internal name to help you identify it, assign the corresponding category, and add the message participants will see (text, image, or HTML).
Optionally, you can also customize the title and message that will appear when the participant shares their result on social media.

2.2.2. Personality test by points.
With this option, the result depends on the total score accumulated across all answers. Each answer is assigned a point value, and participants are shown the final screen that matches the range they scored within.
This works best for tests with fewer questions and answers, as the number of required final screens grows with each additional combination.
1) Configure the questions and answers
Go to the 'Quiz' section of the campaign editor and check the option 'Quiz with points for right answers'.
Add your questions and, in the 'Answers' tab, select 'Single answer multiple choice'. Assign a point value to each answer option.
2) Configure the final screens
Go to the 'Final screen' section and enable the option 'Display a customized final screen depending on gamifications, quiz results (point or personality tests) or validated coupon'. Then click on 'Individual final screens management' and add the screens you need.
For each screen, set a minimum and maximum score. The ranges must cover all possible point combinations. For example, with two questions structured like this:
- Question 1: Answer A = 1 pt, Answer B = 2 pts, Answer C = 3 pts
- Question 2: Answer A = 10 pts, Answer B = 20 pts, Answer C = 30 pts
The final screens would be:
- 11 points → Screen 1 (A + A)
- 12 points → Screen 2 (B + A)
- 22 points → Screen 3 (B + B)
- 33 points → Screen 4 (C + C)
- … and so on, depending on the number of questions and answers.
2.3. Other settings.
2.3.1. Winner selection.
If your personality test is linked to a sweepstakes, once the participation period has ended, you can select the winners directly from the platform. See the tutorial: How to select winners and obtain your Certificate of Validity.
3. Plans and requirements.
Personality tests are available through the Cool Promo and Cool Promo White Label applications, included in the Gold and Diamond plans, respectively.
