1. Introduction.
The email automation tool allows you to send emails to users who participate in your campaign. Each sending is recorded in the 'Email sending' section, where you can check statistics on email processing and recipient interaction.
In this tutorial we explain how to set up email templates. Below, we detail what each type of event means.
2. Step by step.
Access the 'Email sending' section from your campaign list by clicking the 'Leads' section of the campaign.
Then go to the left sidebar and click on 'Emails'.
2.1. Email events.
Here you'll find the statistics for your email sendings. There are 9 types of events that reflect email processing and recipient interaction.
Processed: the email has been accepted and is ready to be sent.
Delivered: the message has been successfully delivered to the recipient's server. However, it's not possible to know whether it landed in the inbox, Promotions, or the spam folder.
Open: records the number of times the recipient has opened the email. A single user can appear multiple times if they open it more than once, which is why the Open count is often higher than the Processed count.
Click: records the number of times the recipient clicked a link in the email. If the same user clicks multiple times, each click is registered individually.
Dropped: the email was discarded before sending. This may be because the domain is incorrect (e.g. gmail.es instead of gmail.com) or because the user had previously unsubscribed. The list shows the reason for the drop.
Bounced: the server could not deliver the message. This may be because the address doesn't exist, an anti-spam filter blocked it, or the recipient's mailbox is full. The list shows the reason for the bounce.
Deferred: the email couldn't be delivered immediately but hasn't been dropped. The system will keep retrying for up to 72 hours. If delivery is still not possible after that, it becomes a bounce.
Unsubscribed: the recipient has opted out and will no longer receive emails.
Spam report: the recipient has marked the email as spam. From that point on, no further emails will be sent to that address.
The typical data behavior is as follows:
Every email will end up in either 'Dropped' or 'Processed'.
A processed email will always end up as 'Delivered' or 'Bounced'. Their combined total should match the 'Processed' count. Any difference means some are still being retried.
Multiple 'Deferred' events can be registered for a single email, one per retry.
There can be more 'Open' events than 'Delivered' events if a user opens the email several times.
There can be more 'Click' events than 'Open' or 'Delivered' events if a user clicks multiple times.
3. Other specifications.
Email sending is included in the Gold and Diamond plans, with a limit of 2,500 and 5,000 emails per month respectively. If you need to send more, you can purchase additional email packages.
