2.1. Create and manage audiences.
1. Introduction.
The email automation tool allows you to create groups of emails, called Audiences, from a file, to which you can then send communications. These can be participants or non-participants in your campaigns.
In this way, in addition to sending emails to users who participate in your campaign, you will be able to send emails to an audience outside your campaigns.
These email groups are independent of the participants in the campaign, that is, you can send emails to any audience.
This option gives you more flexibility when sending an email that you have already created. However, it's important to note that when you send single emails to users who are not participants in your campaign, you will not have more information about them. Therefore, you cannot use variables such as {{first_name}} or {{participation_link}}.
2. Step by step.
2.1. Create and manage audiences.
You can access Audience Management from:
- Your Cool Tabs profile > 'Emails and SMS' section > Manage Audiences
- The 'Emails and SMS' section of the campaign edition > Emails and SMS management > Manage audiences
From Audience Management, you will be able to create as many audiences as you need. All you have to do is upload the file with the list of emails.
To upload an audience:
1) Click on 'Manage Audiences'
2) Then click on 'Create Audience'
3) Give a name to the audience you are going to create, in order to identify it internally and upload your file.
You must use an Excel or CSV file, with a row per record. In each row, there must be one email. It also can contain more columns (that you will be able to use when preparing to send the email).
``` | pepe@gmail.com | Pepe | López | DescuentoParaPepe | user_123123 | | juan@gmail.com | Juan | Pérez | DescuentoParaJuan | user_456546 | ```
2.2. Send emails.
Once the audience is created, you can use it by sending an email template.
1) Go to the 'Emails and SMS' section.
2) If you have already created the email template, to send to an audience, click on the template edition.
If you don't have a template created yet, the first thing to do is to set up a new one.
In your email, you can include variables, from {{{ audience_col_1 }} to {{{ audience_col_10 }}. Besides {{{ email }}, of course.
``` | {{{ audience_col_1}}} | {{{ audience_col_2 }}} | {{{ audience_col_3 }}} | {{{ audience_col_4 }}} | {{{ audience_col_5 }}} | | juan@gmail.com | Juan | Pérez | DescuentoParaJuan | user_456546 | | pepe@gmail.com | Pepe | López | DescuentoParaPepe | user_123123 | ```
Your email would look like this:
```
Hi, {{{ audience_col_2 }}} {{{ audience_col_3 }}}!
We have an exclusive discount for you: {{{ audience_col_4 }}}
Would you like to enjoy it on your next purchase? Go to your-promos.com/pub/campaña?crm_id={{{ audience_col_5 }}} to get it.
```
Once your template is ready, save it.
3) Select the 'Send email manually' option.
4) Then select the Send to an Audience option. From the drop-down menu, select the audience you want. You can email any audience you have created in your account.
Exclude emails from participants in this campaign: by activating this check, you will be excluding emails from users who have participated in the campaign.
5) Finally, click on 'Continue' to send the emails.
3. Other specifications.
The use of the email automation tool is included in the Gold, Diamond One, and Diamond plans. It is limited to 2,500, 3,500, and 5,000 emails per month, respectively.
In case you want to send more emails, you can buy email packages.
