When you run a giveaway on Facebook or Instagram, Cool Tabs automatically collects the comments from your post to manage entries. To ensure optimal performance according to each plan, there is a maximum limit on the number of comments that can be collected per giveaway.
How many comments can my giveaway collect?
The maximum number of comments collected depends on your plan:

What happens when the limit is reached?
When your giveaway reaches the maximum number of comments allowed by your plan:
Collection of new comments stops. Comments posted after reaching the limit will not be added to the list of entries.
A notification appears in the entries section, informing you that the limit has been reached.
The giveaway and winner selection proceed as usual based on the comments collected. The collection works as a random and representative sample of the total, so every entry has the same chance of being included.
The download report reflects that same sample. There are no restrictions on downloading. You will receive all collected data; just keep in mind that if the entire set of comments was not collected, the report will not include them either.
Will participants see that the giveaway was done on a sample?
No. The comment limit is an internal management matter. From an external perspective, the giveaway behaves exactly like any other:
The public winners page does not show any reference to the number of comments collected or the limit reached.
The validity certificate of the giveaway also does not reflect this information.
Participants simply see the result: who won, and the date and time the giveaway was held.
The comment collection functions as a random and representative sample of the total entries, meaning any comment has the same chance of being collected regardless of when it was posted. This is not displayed anywhere visible to participants.
What can I do if I need to collect more comments?
If your giveaway has very high participation and you need a higher limit, you have two options:
Upgrade your plan
By purchasing or switching to a higher plan, the limit reached notification is automatically disabled for your upcoming giveaways, and you will have the new limit from that moment on.

Can I view and download entries even if the limit has been reached? Yes, without any restrictions. However, both the list and the downloadable report only reflect the comments that have been collected. If the limit was reached before participation closed, the report will contain the collected sample, not the total comments on the post.
Can I run the giveaway even if not all comments were collected? Yes. The giveaway proceeds normally based on the collected sample, which is random and representative of the total entries.
Will participants see anywhere that the giveaway was conducted with a limited number of comments? No. Neither the winners page nor the validity certificate mentions the limit or how many comments were collected. To the public, the giveaway is transparent and the result is the only visible element.
Is the limit applied per giveaway or per account? The limit is applied per giveaway. Each giveaway you create has its own independent counter.
Are comments posted before reaching the limit lost? No. All comments collected up to that point are preserved and valid for the giveaway.
How do I know if my giveaway has reached the limit? You will see an informational notification directly in the entries section of that giveaway.
