1. Introduction
With Cool Tabs you can create campaigns where participants receive a personalised coupon or promotional code in exchange for completing a registration form.
Upload the codes you want to distribute to the platform. You have three main options:
Same code for everyone: all participants receive the same promotional coupon.
Unique codes per participant: each person receives a different code, linked to their registration data.
Codes by group: assign different codes based on quiz results, an Instant Win, or other conditions you define.
You can also combine coupon distribution with any other mechanic: quizzes, Instant Win, contests, gamification, and more.
2. Ideas and examples
The goal of this type of campaign is to drive purchases, reward users, and build loyalty by delivering a coupon with a personalised discount or gift.
These are the three most common distribution models:
a) Same code for all participants.
Quick and easy to set up. Ideal for general discounts or seasonal promotions.
b) Unique code per participant.
Each user receives a different code, linked to their name, surname, and other form data. Provides greater traceability and control over how each coupon is used.
c) Different code per group of participants.
Segment coupons based on form responses, for example, by the final screen reached in a personality quiz, the score in a knowledge test, or the result of an Instant Win.
Common use cases for coupon distribution:
After completing a registration form.
For taking part in a specific campaign.
To promote the sale of a product or service.
For following a profile on social media.
Sent via newsletter to your database.
Drawn among a selected group of users.
3. Step by step
3.1. Create the campaign
Before setting up coupon distribution, create and configure your campaign with the basic settings. If this is your first time using Cool Tabs, see the tutorial How to get started on creating a campaign: basic settings.

3.2. Set up coupon/code delivery
Go to the Coupons section and enable the option "Enable discount vouchers". Once activated, the following configuration options will appear.
3.2.1. Which participants should receive a voucher?
You can choose from several options:
All participants.
Only Instant Win winners.
Only participants who did not win an Instant Win.
Participants who reach a specific final screen (quiz result or code validation).
3.2.2. Coupons to assign
Discount vouchers. Enter the list of codes separated by commas or one per line. You can upload a maximum of 2,000 codes for free.
Repeat discount vouchers. If you enable this option, once all available codes have been distributed, the system will start over from the beginning. If disabled, no more coupons will be delivered once they run out.
3.2.3. Coupon design and preview options
You can customise how the coupon is displayed to participants:
Show a QR code or barcode on the final screen.
Include the QR code or barcode in the downloadable coupon image.
Show a download button for the coupon on the final screen.
Automatically download the coupon when the participant reaches the final screen.
Attach the coupon to the confirmation email (as PDF or JPG). If you configure email sending after participation or after winning an Instant Win, emails will include the coupon as a downloadable attachment.
Select the type of code you are going to distribute.
Coupon image creative. Add text, images, or video to explain to the user how and where to use the coupon, as well as its expiry date. You can also use personalisation variables.
3.3. Deliver the same code to all participants
If all participants are going to receive the same coupon, there is a simpler route: configure the code directly in the Final Screen message, without needing to use the Coupons section, as shown in the example below.
If you prefer to configure it from the Coupons section instead, follow the steps below.
3.3.1. Configure the code participants will receive
Decide on the code (numeric or alphanumeric) you will distribute. Enter it in the corresponding field and enable code repetition so that all participants can receive it.
3.3.2. Choose which participants will receive the codes
Select the option "To all participants".
Using Instant Win? You can deliver coupons alongside prize distribution. Regardless of the Instant Win result, all participants will receive their code. See the tutorial How to create an Instant Win campaign with instant winners.
3.3.3. Include instructions for participants
Use the creative field to clearly explain how, where, and until when they can use the coupon. You can include text, images, or video.
3.3.4. Personalise the message for users
Go to the Final Screen section to add the message participants will see after completing the form. You can upload your coupon image (shared by all users) so they can save or print it.
Here is an example of how the final screen looks once a user completes the form:
3.4. Deliver different codes to each participant
3.4.1. Organise the codes you are going to distribute
Decide which code corresponds to each participant and prepare the list before uploading it to the platform.
3.4.2. Enter the codes
In the Coupons section, enter up to 2,000 codes for free, separated by commas or one per line. Codes can be numeric or alphanumeric.
If you want to send the coupon by email, enable the option "Attach a PDF file with the coupon in the email".
3.4.3. Enable or disable code repetition
Once all codes have been distributed, you can choose:
No repeat: no more coupons will be delivered once they run out.
Repeat: the system starts distributing the same codes again from the beginning.
3.4.4. Choose which participants will receive the codes
You can distribute them to all participants or link them to Instant Win results (winners, non-winners, or a specific screen). See the tutorial How to create an Instant Win campaign.
3.4.5. Include instructions for participants
Use the creative field to explain how to use the coupon, where, and until what date. You can also use personalisation variables to display, for example, the participant's name or ID number.
3.5. Deliver different codes based on participant groups
This option lets you assign different coupons based on the final screen each participant reaches in a quiz or questionnaire.
In the Final Screen section, enable the option "Display a customised final screen depending on gamifications, quiz results (point or personality tests) or validated coupon" and click on "Individual final screen management". You can create independent result screens for each group, based on:
The predominant category of answers (for example, in a personality test).
The score achieved (for example, 0–4, 5–8, 9–10).
The code entered by the participant for validation.
Click "Manage individual final screens" > "Add new screen". Configure each screen by specifying the criteria a participant must meet to see it.
Points-based quiz:
Category-based quiz:
Code validation:
For each screen, personalise the message with text, images, or GIFs. You can also include HTML.
Repeat the process for each screen you want to configure.
