One of the main objectives of interactive marketing campaigns is to get leads. For this reason, when setting up sweepstakes, contests, or other promotions, it is essential to determine the registration form for participants. This is not only the one that will allow them to participate, but also, as the campaign administrator, the one that allows you to identify the users.
Below, we show you the different registration options you can enable in a campaign with Cool Tabs.
1. Registration via email.
The participant accesses the campaign by typing his/her email, not having to register with a social network, but by typing his/her email.
Enabling this type of login can improve the levels of participation and conversion of the campaign:
- It allows users who do not want to link their social network to the promotion or contest to register anyway and become participants. It also provides a gateway for users who do not have social network profiles.
- Furthermore, it is easier for users to get to the participation form, as no permissions acceptance might put them off.
To set up registration via email, you must activate the anonymous login option, i.e. without a social network, in the campaign editor.

1.1. Email verification.
Despite these advantages, email registration has its drawbacks. Although it makes it easier for any user to participate by filling in the form, it increases the use of fake emails.
Therefore, if you enable participation with anonymous login, we recommend that you configure email verification.
This feature forces the participant to access his/her email account to validate the email address provided during registration. Only once the email address is confirmed, the participant will be considered a campaign participant.

2. Social login.
Another login option widely used by brands in their lead generation campaigns is registration via social login, in which the participant accesses the campaign by registering with their credentials on social networks.

Currently, with Cool Tabs, you can enable social login with Facebook, TikTok, Twitch, Spotify, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitch, Google/Gmail, Microsoft/Hotmail, and Yahoo.
You will not find the option to sign up with Instagram because Facebook no longer allows you to use login with Instagram as an option to sign up for a campaign. The option to log in with Instagram is now only possible in UGC photo/video contests, where the user logs in with Instagram in order to select a post from their profile.
This type of registration is compatible with the login activation with email.

3. Single Sign-On (SSO).
Most brands have user or member areas that require previous registration. Therefore, when generating interactive content campaigns in digital channels, more and more brands are choosing to activate their own identification system through Single Sign-On. This allows them to manage and control the identity of participating users and facilitates login with a single username and password.
In this way, when a user accesses the campaign that the brand has created, the brand ensures that the participant is already part of its registered users and, therefore, has been authenticated.
