1. Introduction.
With the Cool Promo and Cool Promo White Label applications, included in Cool Tabs' Gold and Diamond plans, you can enable various registration options for your campaigns without relying on social media. This flexibility allows you to tailor your campaigns to different goals, from lead generation to quick and easy participation.
Below, we explain the login options you can configure for your campaigns.
2. Anonymous Login.
The so-called anonymous login allows participants to access the campaign by entering their email directly into the participation form, without linking to any social media accounts.
This type of login is compatible with a personal data form to collect user information. If you choose not to enable the form, participation will be completely anonymous.
2.1. When to use Anonymous Login.
Anonymous login is useful for one-shot campaigns—those with single, quick participation, no ongoing user tracking, and no need for detailed participant data or long-term analysis. For example:
- Opinion surveys that don’t require personal data collection.
- Entertainment or personality quizzes that don’t need detailed registration.
- Instant giveaways, where user identity verification isn’t necessary.
In these types of campaigns, anonymous login can be a good choice due to:
- Higher conversion rates: Anonymous login allows users who don’t want to link their social media accounts to still register and participate. It’s also an entry point for users who don’t have social media profiles.
- Lower entry barriers: With this option, users can easily access the participation form without needing to grant permissions or have a social media profile.
2.2. Configuring Anonymous Login.
To enable anonymous login, go to the Registration section in the campaign editor and activate the Anonymously check.
Once enabled, you have several configuration options:
- Enable anonymous login only or combine it with social login options (one or more social media platforms).
- Request personal data from users who register anonymously or not. If you want to collect certain information from users who register without social media, enable and configure the form fields in the Form section of the campaign editor.
3. Email Login.
The email login is a more robust and secure registration method where users provide their email address before completing the participation form. This method verifies the user’s identity through a code sent to their email.
This type of login ensures unique registrations and simplifies participant tracking, making it ideal for campaigns focused on gamification, multiple participations, or interconnected campaign groups.
3.1. How Email Login works.
The process works as follows:
- The user clicks on the Participate option in the campaign.
- A modal window appears, prompting the user to enter their email address.
- The user enters their email, and a 6-character code is sent to their inbox.
- The user inputs the code to verify their identity.
- Once authenticated, the user can complete the participation form.
This option can be combined with anonymous login, but we recommend customizing the text and buttons to avoid confusion.
3.2. When to use Email Login.
We recommend using email login with code instead of anonymous login, except for campaigns where data collection or participant tracking is not a priority. This type of login is particularly useful for:
- Campaigns with multiple participations.
- Interconnected campaign groups.
- Gamifications with point accumulation, personalized rankings, or statistics.
3.3. Configuring Email Login.
To enable email login, go to the Registration section in the campaign editor and activate the Email with code option.
After enabling the email login, go to the Form section to activate the participation form fields that users will need to complete afterward.
