3.2. Create a group of campaigns.
3.3. Configure the campaign group landing page.
1. Introduction.
With Cool Tabs, you can create a Christmas campaign with daily giveaways, styled as an Advent Calendar. Users can access the campaign daily to "open" the day’s window on the calendar and participate in that day's giveaway.
This type of action is configured using the Group of Campaigns feature, which allows you to create a single landing page integrating multiple campaigns (e.g., giveaways, contests, quizzes, coupon validation, etc.).
You can configure as many campaigns as you like within the group (typically 24 or 25 days for an Advent Calendar) and set specific images for each calendar box.
One of the key advantages of group campaigns is that social login (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) enables participant identification from their first entry. This simplifies access on subsequent days, reduces abandonment rates, and provides a seamless experience.
2. Ideas and examples.
A particularly useful and easy-to-manage format is an Advent Calendar with a single main campaign set up using the Instant Win mechanic. This option allows you to schedule prizes to be awarded immediately upon participation, assigning different prizes to each day of the calendar based on the configured dates. Instead of creating and managing multiple individual campaigns, you only need to configure one campaign, greatly simplifying management and reducing the time needed to launch it.
- Classic Advent Calendar. Organize daily giveaways where participants "open" a box each day to join the campaign. Boxes remain locked until the programmed date, preventing early access.
- Multi-Brand Promotions. Collaborate with other brands to create specific campaigns within the calendar, offering benefits such as discounts or exclusive giveaways.
3. Step by step.
3.1. Create the campaign.
The Group of Campaigns feature allows you to combine multiple campaigns into one landing page. First, you must create each campaign (e.g., quiz, giveaway via registration, instant win) individually in your Cool Tabs account.
Is it your first time creating a campaign with Cool Tabs? In the following tutorial, we will show you how to configure the basic sections of a campaign, as well as other recommended settings, to ensure its proper functioning and maximize results.
How to get started on creating a campaign: basic settings.
When configuring your campaigns, take into account two aspects:
- Registration: Define how users will participate. Options include: Social login (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Microsoft/Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) or anonymous login (users manually enter their email). Social login is recommended as it allows participants to be uniquely identified across all campaigns in the group. Once registered for one campaign, their data will be saved for the rest of the group.
- Participation date: this is the date that will determine when you can participate. Check the dates of each campaign very carefully. If the participation dates are closed, on the landing page of the campaign group, a notice will appear indicating when the user can access it.

3.2. Create the Group of Campaigns.
Once your individual campaigns are ready, create the landing page for the group:
1. Go to the main campaigns list and select Create Campaign > Group of Campaigns.
2. Assign an internal name to identify the group in your list.
3. Define the time zone and default language.
4. Choose a main campaign for the group. This campaign will define some shared properties.
5. Click Continue.
3.3. Configure the Group Landing Page.
3.3.1. Basic Details.
- Modify the name, time zone, and languages as needed.
- Set the dates for when the landing page will be visible to users.
3.3.2. Group Campaigns.
1. Add individual campaigns to the group:
- Use the selector to locate and add your campaigns.
- Assign a public title for each campaign (e.g., "Day 1 Giveaway" or "Win an iPhone") and a name to identify it internally.
- Dates. By default, users can access each campaign based on the participation dates set during its configuration. Alternatively, define custom access periods for each campaign box, independent of the participation dates. This way, users can only access a specific calendar box on its designated day.
- Hide Past Campaigns. Enable this option to hide boxes of past campaigns automatically. For example, after December 8, you can hide the boxes for the first week to streamline navigation.
- Images. Upload images to illustrate each box. You can configure: before activation (a fixed image, such as a placeholder with the activation date), during the campaign (an image inviting users to participate) and after the campaign (an optional image, such as a message stating, "This campaign has ended"). Upload a 1:1 image, at least 240 x 240 px.
3.3.3. Design.
Customize the landing page's appearance:
- Basic Details: Add a title, description, and an image or pre-designed creative that includes text. You can check the tutorial: What basic materials do you need to customize your campaign.
- Images: Upload a main image and separate background images for desktop and mobile.
- Styles: Adjust the font and colors to match your branding.
3.3.4. Legal Terms.
Include general terms and conditions for the group. You can also set custom terms for each individual campaign.
Finally, click Save or Save and Preview to apply your changes.
The following are examples of Advent Calendars.
