The Cool Tabs Wheel of Fortune allows you to add a custom image to each section for a fully personalised design. For the wheel to display correctly, each image must be prepared with specific dimensions and orientation.
This guide explains how to do it step by step.
Step 1 — Design the full wheel
Create a document of 736 × 736 px and draw the entire wheel as a circle divided into as many sections as you need. Add colours, text and decoration to each slice.
The wheel radius is 368 px (half the document size). You will need this value later to calculate the height of each slice.
Common tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or Figma. You can use angular guides to divide the circle precisely.
Step 2 — Cut each section and upload it separately
- Export each section as a separate file. Crop each slice of the wheel and save it as a separate PNG with a transparent background. You will need as many files as sections your wheel has.
- The vertex (the tip) must point upwards. When saving each slice, the tip of the triangle must be at the top of the image and the base (the arc) at the bottom. The platform rotates and assembles the pieces automatically.
- Upload each image to its corresponding section. In the wheel configurator, assign each PNG file to its matching section.
Correct slice orientation
The vertex must always point upwards. This is the most important rule: if the slice is rotated, the wheel will not assemble correctly.
Dimensions by number of sections
The height is always 368 px. The width varies depending on the number of sections in the wheel:
| Sections | Angle per section | Width | Height | Preview |
|---|
Advanced — Calculate the width for any number of sections
If your wheel has a number of sections not listed above, you can calculate the exact width using this formula:
Where n is the number of sections. The height is always 368 px.
