3.3. Define the hours and the number of stages.
3.4. Display questions on certain dates.
1. Introduction.
The Cool Promo or Cool Promo White Label applications, included in the Gold and Diamond plans, respectively, allow you to create a campaign with different phases. You will be able to define the number of hours that the phases will have and the number of times users will be able to participate in them.
2. Ideas and examples.
- Create an Advent Calendar. You can create a questionnaire in which users can participate every day for a month.
- Generate a Betting Pool. You want to create a prediction pool, for example, during a football World Cup to challenge users to place their bets on the results of the matches.
3. Step by step.
3.1. Create the campaign.
First, you must create your campaign and configure the basic setting. Is it your first time creating a campaign with Cool Tabs? In the following tutorial, we will show you how to configure the basic sections of a campaign, as well as other recommended settings, to ensure its proper functioning and maximize results.

3.2. Define the stages of your campaign.
Once you have completed the basic settings, you have to define the phases. Go to the 'Restrictions' tab of the 'Participation' section and check the option 'Users may participate once or several times in the time period (competition stages) that you define'.
3.3. Define the hours and the number of stages.
Two fields will be displayed where you must complete the number in hours that each participation stage will last (for example, 24 for 24 hours, 168 for a week, etc.) and the number of times you can participate in each stage. If you leave this field empty, each user will be able to join just ONCE PER PHASE.
When you check the option to participate in phases, several fields will appear.
- Number of hours per stage: write 24 for 24 hours, 168 for one week, etc.
- Times each user can join the campaign per stage: if you leave it blank, users can only participate once in each phase.
- Select winners in each stage: activate this option if you want to create a phase-based contest with winners in each phase. If the winners will be chosen at the end of the campaign, do not check it.
Keep in mind that, once your campaign has been launched, if you are going to modify the phases, you will have to adjust the starting date of the participation. For example, in a World Cup betting game. During the group stage and round of 16, there are matches every day, so you set up 24-hour phases and allow users to participate once every 24 hours. However, in the quarterfinals, you want the phases to be 3 days long. In this case, you must edit the phases, so that they last 72 hours. In addition, you will have to modify the start date of the participation, so that it coincides with the day that this new phase starts.
3.4. Display questions on certain dates.
In campaigns with phases, it is common to display questions only during certain dates. This happens, for example, when you set up a pool with the matches of a World Cup, which can last for weeks, but on each day several matches are played. This way you can make sure that once the match has started, the participants will not be able to enter the result.
To display questions during certain dates, you have to activate the field 'This question will only be displayed on certain dates', which you will find in the 'Advanced' tab of each quiz question.
Here, you have to define the dates on which you want each question to appear.
