1. Introduction.

In the campaigns you create with the Cool Promo or Cool Promo White Label applications, included in the Gold and Diamond plans, respectively, you can set a time limit for answering.

This feature allows you to set both a time limit to answer one or several questions and a time limit to complete the form.

By activating this functionality, you want the user to answer the questions as soon as possible because, for example, you want to prevent them from searching for the answers, or you want to reward the fastest ones.

2. Step by step.

2.1. Time limit to complete a campaign.

This first option allows you to limit the time to complete the whole campaign and to fill in, if any, the personal data form.

To set the time limit for completing a campaign, go to the 'Entry form' section of the campaign editor. In the 'Advanced' tab, you will find the field 'Time limit to complete the form'.

Type in the maximum time, in seconds, that users will have to respond.

What happens if the user does not complete the campaign on time? There are two possible scenarios:

• The user takes longer than the indicated time. In this case, his/her participation will be pending moderation for you to approve or not.
• The user closes the window and tries again later. In this case, if the maximum time to complete the form has already expired, the user will not be able to participate. In this way, you will ensure that users will not be able to search for the answers and will have to respond in the time you give them. If the time you have specified has expired, they will not be able to participate.

2.2. Time limit for answering a question.

This second option allows you to set a time limit for answering the quiz questions.

This functionality is configured in the 'Quiz' section. When you add a new question, in the 'Advanced' tab, you will find the option 'Time limit in seconds to answer this question'.

You only have to include the time, in seconds, that the user will have to answer the question you have defined.

Once you have configured the time limitation, save the changes.

3. Other specifications.

Please note that the time limit functionality is incompatible with campaigns without a data form. The reason is that, if the time you have configured runs out and the countdown reaches 00:00, the participation remains pending moderation, so that the administrator acts as moderator and decides whether to approve the participation. If there is no user data, there will be no way to confirm the participation.
