1. Introduction

Have you detected fraudulent participation, or an entry that doesn't comply with the participation conditions? In Cool Tabs, you can manage and block users who participate in your campaigns, whatever the reason: they've won before, they don't meet the participation conditions, or they're using a fake profile. Add them to your blacklist to block them across all the sweepstakes you run, so they can never be winners.

2. Step by step

There are two ways to keep participants out of a sweepstakes: rejecting them manually or blocking them automatically. Here's how to do both.

2.1. Remove participants manually

From your campaigns' main page, access the list of participants by clicking on the 'Leads' icon.

Find the entry you want to block (you can use the search filters) and click the 'Reject' icon. This rejects the entry, and the user will no longer be entered in the sweepstakes. Don't worry, the participant won't be notified of this.

2.2. Block participants automatically

If you already have users on file that you don't want entering your sweepstakes, the faster and more practical option is to set up your blacklist.

The blacklist lets you manage the participants you want to block across your campaigns. Participants you add to it can still take part, but will never be winners. You can block users across all types of sweepstakes and campaigns you run.

We also keep a record of the winners of all your campaigns, to prevent the same user from winning more than once.

To add users to the blacklist, go to Account > Settings > Blocked participants.

There are several ways to block participants, depending on the type of sweepstakes.

2.2.1. Blocked emails

For campaigns using an entry form, enter the emails of the users you want to prevent from winning. Enter them manually, separated by commas, spaces, or line breaks. Once you add an email, the block will also apply to future campaigns.

To find a participant's email, access the list of participants by clicking on the 'Leads' section.

If you don't see the email column, click 'Available columns' and select it. You can also get the email by downloading the participants' spreadsheet, click 'Download' in the left sidebar.

The emails of the winners from your previous campaigns or sweepstakes are added to the blacklist automatically.

2.2.2. Blocked Twitter profiles

Enter the usernames of the Twitter sweepstakes participants you want to exclude, separated by commas, spaces, or line breaks.

To find a participant's username, access the list of participants from your campaigns' main page by clicking on the 'Leads' section.

The Twitter usernames of the winners from your previous sweepstakes are also added to the blacklist automatically.

2.2.3. Blocked Instagram profiles

Enter the usernames of the Instagram sweepstakes participants you want to exclude, separated by commas, spaces, or line breaks.

To find a participant's username, access the list of participants from your campaigns' main page by clicking on the 'Leads' section.

The winners from your previous sweepstakes are also added to the blacklist automatically.

2.2.4. Blocked unique user identifiers (UID)

Each social network uses a set of unique identifiers to recognize each participant. Adding these identifiers prevents those participants from winning, another way to block users.

To see a user's ID, download the participants' spreadsheet by clicking 'Download' in the left sidebar.

The UIDs of the winners from your previous sweepstakes are also added to the blacklist automatically.

Finally, click 'Save' to apply all changes.
